After your concept has been approved, the next step is translating your sketches/renders into a solid-body 3D model that fits our basic production constraints and accommodates the essential functional components. Meeting these requirements is fundamental to your product being successfully manufactured and assembled. Begin by downloading one of the modeling starter kits available in our section. Including the features found in the starter kit in your model ensures that your model accommodates the functional components.
The final deliverable of this stage is a collection of .STEP files: one including the full assembly of your design and one for each constituent part of your assembly. If you produced your model in Solidworks, NX, Onshape, or Fusion 360, please include the native modeling file or project link. Example CAD models can be found in .
Once your model passes review, your work is done! Our engineers will optimize each part for printability and ease of assembly.
