Concept
You’ll begin the design process by developing a thoughtful narrative for your design and its intended users. You will define the purpose of your design, how the purpose relates to the needs of your intended user, and where in the home your design belongs. You’ll then submit concept sketches or renderings depicting a few different iterations of your design for the type and size of product you’ve selected.
The goal of the concept stage is to devise a thoughtful foundation for your design. This means considering the intended purpose, user, environment, inspiration and how these elements are interconnected and relate to the form. Additionally, you’ll want to think about how the functional components will fit into the design.
You’ll be asked to submit this information along with sketches/renders depicting your concept, and the Gantri team will ensure it meets the criteria listed below.
Evaluation
Shortly after you submit your concept, it is evaluated by the Gantri team using the criteria outlined below. If all criteria are satisfied, your design will be moved onto the modeling stage. Otherwise, we will get back to you with the aspects of the design that are insufficient, and we will ask you to make revisions before resubmitting.
